HELP SECTION - CARD
DECODER |
| What
is the Card Decoder? |
| The Card decoder is a tool
used to decrypt the credit card data found on your customers
order. The card number is encrypted into a line of
compressed computer code that can safely be transmitted to
you the store owner at the bottom of your customers order
email. |
| How do
I use the Card Decoder? |
| The encrypted card data is
found at the bottom of the customers order email. It is
right below the (DATA HERE) line. Follow these steps to
decode the card data.
1. Highlight the line of encoded data with the mouse by
clicking the left mouse button & dragging across the number.
2. Right click on the highlighted data and click copy.
3. Open up the Card Decoder found in your shopping cart
control panel
4. Enter your Password and Keycode in the require fields
5. Right click the mouse in the Place Data Here field and
click Paste
6. Click the Decode button.
7. The Decoded card data will appear. |
| When I
click Decode I get ( Invalid password / card information
given. Try Again). |
| Your Password and or
Keycode is incorrect. The Password and Keycode ARE case
sensitive so make sure not to capitalize if your password
and keycode are lowercase! You will need to contact customer
service to reset your Password and or Keycode if needed.
|
| The
card number decoded but it’s not a valid card Number /
Expiration date. |
| Your customer has either
entered an invalid card number / date or has hit a wrong
number while entering their card data. We recommend
contacting the customer to verify the number for accuracy.
However, we DO NOT recommend emailing the card number to
your customer. You should NEVER send anyone’s card number
through email because email is unsecure and can pose a
security problem. Calling your customer is the best
method to verify incorrect card information. If your
customer has not included a phone number or can not be
reached via telephone, email them requesting them to contact
you via phone to review their order information. Again DO NOT include
ANY credit card data in ANY email to ANY customer for ANY
reason! |
